The artist for the vintage GIJOE! Sam Petrucci! Sam is a great guy and I enjoyed hanging out with him at GIJoeCon this year. I picked up some prints from him that he was all to happy to sign! Thanks again Sam and hope to see you at GIJoeCon 2010!

There was no short supply of dealers again this year, if you were looking for it you could probably find it!

Was great to hang out although only briefly this trip with the coolest cats you'll ever meet: The Trenchers!

Got back from JoeCon on monday the 17th. Wow what a Con! Lots of fun but needed to get more sleep during and after the whole thing! Anyway, had a great time and was great to see so many familiar faces and put some names with some faces as well. Really looking forward to next year!

There has been beer, profits, much sensless buying...beer...a GIJOE movie...legends of the hobby and all sorts of fun to be had. I need to start taking pictures and uploading...maybe tomorrow!

Bag 'em and tag 'em! Stuff is all set for the most part for us to depart this week for JoeCon 2009! Finishing some custom projects and thats it. Can't wait to go, this is gunna be a blast!

Ok, so its been a while since I've made a post here but things have been busy. Resolute was a success, Hasbro even says so. Now we just need more figures and we'll be all set...that means Hasbro will have to make some or actually release some that we have seen on ebay as of late.

GIJOE Resolute is GO! The new GIJOE cartoon is scheduled to debut friday April 24, 2009 at 9pm Eastern and should be replayed at midnight. Really can't wait, it has been a long time coming!

For the time being this will be the home of Ben & Greg’s Joe Depot. The website is still giving us trouble, but we are working on it. For now, stay tuned to this blog for updates on BGJD and what shows we are going to be attending as well as news on the new website when it goes live. You can also check us out on eBay!

Here is just a snap shot of some of the GIJOE Resolute Action figures we have seen so far. Missing is the new version of Cobra Commander, but I'll try and get a pic of him up before long. Now rumor had it we would see Storm Shadow and Firefly and maybe a Resolute female before the movie toys were released but romor also has it the last 2 waves of figures were canceled until further notice as the main focus of Hasbro (the makers of GIJOE) were focusing on the movie line of GIJOE now.

Well, its now official, GIJOE Resolute will be coming to a TV near you very soon! GIJOE Resolute is scheduled to first be shown on April 25th at midnight on Cartoon Network. Now this was orginally suppose to be shown as a series of 5-ish minute episdoes, but Cartoon network has given it an hour & a half time slot. So here is hoping we get to see it in full length, and to it coming to DVD very soon! And wouldn't it be nice if we got a couple more toys before the new GIJOE MOVIE toys are released!

The prince of evil during the 1980's! Cobra Commander. While this to me is the way Cobra Commander will always be, and the voice of Chris Latta as Cobra Commander will always be the way he should sound, I always imagined him to be much more evil and sinister than the cartoon ever made him out to be. So for me, he should look and sound like the old cartoon, but be a good guy killing menace to the world!

Ah the joys of 80's pop culture! Two of the best villians ever created save maybe Darth Vader or the Emperor from Star Wars, as a kid Cobra Commander and Megatron were the bad asses of evil! At left we see the GIJOE Resolute Cobra Officer manning a missle launcher. More Resolute please!

GIJOE Resolute is a new GIJOE Cartoon that is suppose to be released in 1st quarter of 2009...I like others, are eagerly awaiting its release. Rumor has it the cartoon will be rated PG-13 and geared toward an adult audience and that some characters will even die in the cartoon. Oh, and no lazers this time, real bullets. Sound cool yet? Toys have been released for the series already and others are supposed to be on the way in the last 2 waves of GIJOE figures, but recent rumor has it that the last 2 waves have been canceled as Hasbro and retailers gear up for the release of the new GIJOE Movie. Personally I was looking forward to adding more figures from the Resolute series to my collection. Perhaps we will see them some day or maybe the GIJOE Club will produce them...one can hope.
