The prince of evil during the 1980's! Cobra Commander. While this to me is the way Cobra Commander will always be, and the voice of Chris Latta as Cobra Commander will always be the way he should sound, I always imagined him to be much more evil and sinister than the cartoon ever made him out to be. So for me, he should look and sound like the old cartoon, but be a good guy killing menace to the world!

Ah the joys of 80's pop culture! Two of the best villians ever created save maybe Darth Vader or the Emperor from Star Wars, as a kid Cobra Commander and Megatron were the bad asses of evil! At left we see the GIJOE Resolute Cobra Officer manning a missle launcher. More Resolute please!

GIJOE Resolute is a new GIJOE Cartoon that is suppose to be released in 1st quarter of 2009...I like others, are eagerly awaiting its release. Rumor has it the cartoon will be rated PG-13 and geared toward an adult audience and that some characters will even die in the cartoon. Oh, and no lazers this time, real bullets. Sound cool yet? Toys have been released for the series already and others are supposed to be on the way in the last 2 waves of GIJOE figures, but recent rumor has it that the last 2 waves have been canceled as Hasbro and retailers gear up for the release of the new GIJOE Movie. Personally I was looking forward to adding more figures from the Resolute series to my collection. Perhaps we will see them some day or maybe the GIJOE Club will produce them...one can hope.
